A Perfect Obsession by Heather Graham

When someone begins murdering the young and beautiful in New York, it is not long before a whole string of related bodies surfaces.

Of course our heroine has an unusual (typically male) name, she's incredibly beautiful, brilliant, great at both her jobs and practically perfect in every way.  The whole characterization of Keiran is saccharine and overdone.

I have read Heather Graham before, so I knew what I was getting into in terms of their being a heavy romance subplot, but this one felt heavy handed.  Craig's worry for Keiran seems overblown- why would a serial killer suddenly target her?  Plus the complications of working together would be so much more than portrayed in the novel.

I enjoyed the pacing of the book until the very end where everything came to a forced and rushed conclusion, but felt that it relied overly much on dialogue.  Everyone was always talking.  And if people weren't talking it was Craig thinking about how beautiful Keiran is.

Definitely not the book, series or author for me to continue exploring.  Only 2/5 here.
