home body by rupi kaur
Kaur is back at it with another powerful collection of poems. I always find at least one or two that resonate with me, but this one had fewer of those than her previous collections. Perhaps I am not so lucky and have not learned to love myself with the passion that Kaur has yet and maybe that's why.
I also feel that compared to her other collections, Home Body is more narratively disjointed. It feels very much like two, perhaps even three, distinct books. I found myself lingering less with this one, and while I enjoyed it I feel that it doesn't quite measure up to the other two collections Kaur has released. For that reason, I only gave it 3/5 stars.
