Beast of New Castle by Larry Sells and Margie Porter

I LOVE True Crime. If there's a documentary, book, podcast... count me in. I'm fascinated by the darker aspects of human nature- the whys, the hows and I often find myself consumed in reading about past cases.

The Beast of New Castle details the tragic backstory and horrific crimes of Jerry Thompson.

I was gripped from the first page. Sells and Porter have a way of relating the story in a way that is factual, to the point and still entertaining. The way the first chapter is written left me chilled and more than a little creeped out! More than just a true crime; however, Beast of New Castle lifts the curtain on a criminal justice system that is, at times, deeply flawed. This is definitely a book that will resonate with True Crime fans.
